The house, vibrant and full of life, represents the spaces where we feel safe to be our truest selves. The colorful walls are a reminder that life is meant to be lived boldly, unapologetically, and with joy. The sunflowers framing the window embody resilience and radiance, always turning toward the light, just as we do when we honor our own inner glow.
Through her gaze, I see a sense of hope and quiet strength. She’s not just looking out at the world—she’s reflecting on her place within it, embracing her unique beauty and potential. Lori Saint Rome is a Haiti-born civil engineer who returned to art during the stillness of the pandemic. When women began telling her they felt seen in her pieces, everything changed.
She didn't set out to build a brand. She set out to create the art she couldn't find anywhere. Art that reflects Black womanhood with dignity, softness, and calm.
