Lori in Theory
I Grew Like A Flower By The River Unique 1 of 1 3rd Anniversary Edition Ready to Hang Canvas
« I grew like a flower by the river »
This piece seemed so fitting for this year on a personal level and also as an anniversary piece for Lori in Theory's third year and for my birthday on the same day.
“I grew like a flower by the river” is to represent growth, abundance, as well as peace.
I wanted her to feel and look more like a plant or flower. The deep blue is to represent water which symbolizes life, renewal, birth, fertility, refreshment, fluidity, and a healthy environment to grow.
The bird of paradise flower is again an ode to my home country, Haiti as this flower is very prominent there and reminds me of the joyfulness of childhood. Serendipitously, the bird of paradise flower also symbolizes joyfulness, paradise, freedom, anticipation, and excitement. It’s also representative of having a good perspective on life.
I see my art and creativity as a gift that flows through me from God meant for its rightful owner. So to the owner of this one out of one piece, thank you in advance for connecting with it and for using it to reflect your own journey. ❤️
Love,
Lori
