Lori in Theory was created from a simple, quiet belief: a woman’s beauty, softness, strength, and presence are not things she has to earn. They are gifts, placed within her with intention.

This work is created for the woman who has built a full life, one shaped by wisdom, responsibility, and quiet strength. A woman who chooses spaces that reflect her depth, her identity, and the atmosphere she wants to live in.

Each piece is created as a reflection of that truth. To honor who you already are.

The Journey Behind The Art

I grew up in Haiti, a small island in the Caribbean, surrounded by creativity. Everyone on my dad’s side was an artist in some way. But while I loved art, I was equally drawn to numbers and science, leading me to study civil engineering.

Yet, art kept calling me back. During the pandemic, I found pockets of peace through hosting virtual paint nights with friends. Art became my tool for refuge from anxiety and burnout, a way to nurture myself, reigniting a passion I couldn’t ignore.

In 2021, I took a leap of faith and founded Lori in Theory.

The Truth Behind the Art

At the heart of this work is a simple belief:

You were created in the image of God, with beauty, dignity, and presence already placed inside you.

Nothing about you is accidental.
Nothing about you is ordinary.

The softness you carry.
The wisdom you’ve gained.
The life you’ve built.
The rest you now choose.

All of it holds meaning.

Founder

Lori Saint Rome is a Haiti-born artist whose work centers on identity, softness, and peace. Though she first pursued a path in engineering, she eventually returned to art as a way to reconnect with her inner world.
What began as a personal space for reflection slowly became a calling. Today, her work lives in the homes of collectors across the country, each piece created to honor the beauty and identity God has placed within every woman.
Through Lori in Theory, she continues to create art that brings calm, meaning, and presence into the spaces where women live, rest, and grow.
Her work has also been featured in commercial collaborations and publications including HBO Max, the Los Angeles Times, Beacon Press, and more.
